      Major Winter Storm Orlena 12PM update URGENT- NEW FORECAST IS SHOWING UP TO 25 INCHES OF SNOW FOR THE PHILADELPHIA AREA AND 12 TO 24 INCHES FOR THE NEW YORK CITY AREA. THIS SNOWFALL IS EXTREME AND LIFE-THREATENING. PLEASE STAY HOME AND INSIDE IF YOU CAN. THIS IS A POSSIBLE CATAGORY 5 BLIZZARD AND HEAVY SNOW WILL FALL IN THE ENTIRE NORTHEAST COAST. SCHOOLS AND BUSINESSES WILL MOST LIKELY BE SHUT DOWN. JFK AIRPORT HAS CANCELED LOTS OF FLIGHTS AND ALL FLIGHTS OUT OF LAGUARDIA AIRPORT HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED. PLEASE DO NOT TRAVEL BECAUSE CONDITIONS ARE DEADLY. I WILL POST AT 3:00 PM TODAY AGAIN. 

 Nor' Easter Forecast 12 hours out into the Euro forecast Good Morning on this snowy Monday! The big story today is the Nor'Easter that is going to strike the Mid to Northern Atlantic. Because this Nor'Easter is off the coast, there will be more snow than rain in most of the region. While in some cases, like in Boston, the rain will be partially dominant and the rain/snow line will be in the northwestern suburbs. NYC will most likely get up to 20 inches of snow while at JFK, the snow totals will be around 18 inches. The forecast is extreme and life-threatening for driving and walking so always remember to: Bundle up Check the NWS frequently as well as your local network Prepare and be ready And don't drive My forecast for this winter storm is for the NYC area to get 15 to 25 inches of snow while the Boston area could be only looking at 1 to 3 inches in the city and 10 to 15 inches in the northwestern suburbs. Philadelphia will get around 10 to 20 inches of snow and last...

                    COVID-19 and Weather                              How has the weather has impacted COVID-19? Recently, studies have come out about the effect on COVID-19 from weather and if the effect could be large. For example, in the spring, people were thinking that in the summer, the virus would be less present because the UV rays would kill it. This turned out to be not true and masks were put in place to protect. Fast forward and we still have the same question: will the winter spread it more, like the flu? The answer is no. The virus needs to survive through contact and not surfaces. So next time your out, wear a mask and social distance! Stay Safe!

                Weather World- Forecast for 02/01 Good Morning! This is the weather forecast for the first of February. The first thing that you need to know for today is that most of the northeast is going to be hit by a snowstorm. As you can see, most of the northeast is in winter weather alerts.
